Dukes of September Supergroup Filming PBS Concert

Donald Fagen, Michael McDonald and Boz Scaggs' supergroup the Dukes of September will film a concert Friday night for PBS's "Great Performances." 429 Records will release a DVD of the concert at a later date.

The Dukes of September will be performing at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center in New York. WNET, which is filming the concert, had offered pairs of tickets to donors who contributed $60 to the station.

The band, which performs soul classics plus the trio's solo material and assorted Steely Dan and Doobie Brothers hits, will resume touring at the end of 2013 and into 2014. They recently completed a 40-city tour of the U.S. and Japan.

Scaggs has solo dates booked on the West Coast the rest of the month as well as in April. Fagen released his fourth solo album, "Sunken Condos," last month, but has no dates scheduled.
